Designer Goods at an Estate Sale
Kimora Lee Simons and ex-husband Russell Simmons sold their New Jersey home that they once shared. You know what meant: an estate sale of massive proportions! From the designer bed that they once shared to $20 doggy beds, nothing was spared. Kimora is off to Los Angeles with her new man, actor Djimon Honsou. The home was sold for over $23.8 million but many fans thought the real treasure was what was found inside.
Estate Sales of a Rap Mogul
We’re pretty sure that celebrities don’t usually hold high profile estate sales like this. I guess it doesn’t hurt that it was probably documented for her reality TV show, “Kimora: Life in the Fab Lane”. So what other items were available at this estate sale? How would you like a $12,000 pool table or couches that were once owned by Gianni Versace! With these expensive items around their home, it’s no wonder that there were signs that touted, “If you break it, you bought it.”
California Estate Sales in Comparison
Even though this is New Jersey we’re talking about, California estate sales can certainly compare. Home to many Hollywood stars, it’s just a matter before we come across some more famous estate sales. Just to name a few: Hilary Duff and Winona Ryder recently sold their homes in the Los Angeles area.

Planning Estate Sales
Planning estates sales can be an overwhelming process. When an individual dies and leaves their estate and valuables behind, heirs and family members may have a hard time managing the items. When there are so many parties involved, an estate sale can help make things easier. Make sure that the firm you hire mediates conflicts between family members and the decedent. Make a list of any other questions you would like answered before your estate takes place. It can also help if you visit a few of your own for a different perspective.
Estate Auction Questions
Price can be an important factor when planning your estate auction. Many firms take a percentage of total sales so it’s best to have clarification from the beginning. Most companies can help with set up and clean up afterwards. It’s up to you to do your research and make sure you know about the services that are included. When it comes to internet sales or eBay consignment, companies can also handle packaging and shipping fees. An estate auction can be overwhelming enough, don’t let anything take you by surprise!
Sales Estate Expectations
Sales estate doesn’t have to be a difficult process. Dealing with the death of a family member is difficult and many people will want this process to be finished as soon as possible. Remember, there are also liquidation services for those who need an entire estate to be cleared. Depending on the size of the estate and types of items, there are different options you can choose from. From a one day sale to one that spans over three days. Don’t feel overwhelmed because with the help of experts, this can get done!

Mint Condition Items for Auction Houses
Watching TLC’s documentary on Hoarders has given me a better perspective on people living with this condition. Most of the time, hoarders live in squalid conditions and may even let things like their trash pile up. If you know someone with a hoarding condition, this may be the case. I personally know an acquaintance who is different from other hoarders. Her home is stacked to the ceiling with things but they are kept in immaculate condition. She has categorized these things and keeps her home clean, even though there is barely enough walking space. Her family has talked about staging a hoarding intervention and donating her items or selling them at auction houses.
Estate Auctions for Celebrities
At first, hoarding may start off as a collecting hobby. Over time, it can become harder for these individuals to let go of their belongings that they’ve collected over the years. Hoarding doesn’t just refer to junk and old things. Ever heard of one Ms. Lindsay Lohan? This self-proclaimed clothing hoarder admits that she has closets full of clothing and shoes that she hasn’t even worn! After reports that Lindsay is $600,000 in credit card debt, estate auctions doesn’t sound like a bad idea. These are just one of many services that can help people liquidate their assets and pay off their bills.
Interesting Estate Auctions Los Angeles
Before you brush off the idea of estate auctions Los Angeles services, it might be an interesting experience as a buyer. Whether it is a “neat” hoarder, antiques hobbyist or just a regular collector, there are many things that you can browse. Estate auctions are an interesting experience because interested buyers get to set bids for the items that they like. Depending on the item and the price, things can get quite heated. It’s time to experience one of your own!

This collection is expected to sell for at least $10 million in total.
A Personal Experience with Estate Sales
If you’re looking for a unique collection of valuables which really showcase the life of the owner, Hopper’s estate sales are not something to miss. When asked about his hobby, Hopper had this to say, “My idea of collecting is not going out and buying bankable names but buying people that I believe are really contributing something to my artistic life”. This vast collection of artwork started when Hopper began collecting in the 1950’s.
The Estate Sales California Experience
Although this highly publicized auction will take place in New York later this year, you can venture out and find your own experience in estate sales California. Find a Unique Resting Place at Estate Auction
An estate auction is a great place to uncover treasures but where does one buy a pyramid tomb exactly? A Hollywood star like Nicolas Cage shouldn’t have a problem and he’s done just that. But wait, Cage has had problems recently after the foreclosure of his $37 million Bel Air Home. We wonder where he got the cash to splurge on this extravagant purchase? Cage reportedly bought the tomb as he prepares his final resting place. We wonder what other kooky things Cage has purchased at antique auction.
Estate Auctions for Cage’s Many Properties
Talk about interesting estate auctions! Cage has also lost two homes in New Orleans due to foreclosure in 2009. Cage famously made headlines as he purchased a haunted mansion once owned by Madame LaLaurie. This was the socialite who reportedly brutally murdered and tortured hundreds of black slaves. Apparently, Cage didn’t settle down in this mansion and only used it for parties and to entertain. In 2009, Cage lost this mansion as it was sold for $5.5 million at foreclosure. This was the same year that Cage was listed among the top paid actors according to Forbes.
